Samsung WP8 Ativ S – Global Sales starts with India

If you dreamt of owning a gadget before any of your overseas cousin, this is the time. Samsung recently unveiled its new Windows 8 Smartphone, Ativ S at the IFA in August 2012. The unveiled device is expected to be launched first in India rather than anywhere across the world.

The Samsung Ativ S is expected to be similar to the Galaxy S III with a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen. The Ativ S will operate on the Windows Phone 8 operating systems for mobiles. Samsung has used a 1.5 GHz dual core Krait processor combined with a 1GB RAM in the Ativ S.

The device is expected to be available in two variants of 16GB and 32GB which will support microSD card of up to 32GB. The Ativ S has a rear camera of 8MP along with a front camera of 1.9MP. The device further supports Wi-Fi, 2G, 3G, Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB for connectivity options. Samsung Ativ S, the world's first WP8 Smartphone will be powered with a 2,300mAH battery. Soon enough the technical review of the handset will be available and your decision to buy it can wait for the same as well.

Ezoneonline, an e-commerce portal from the Future Group has already listed the Samsung Ativ S for sale in the mobile category of the website. The e-commerce portal however has not provided any details to its consumers about the launch date or the pricing of the Smartphone.

Ezoneonline has listed the WP8 Smartphone as Out of Stock while promising delivery within 7-10 days to its customers. The website has further added a Price on Request tag against the Smartphone for consumers who are interested in the cost of the device. The consumers however have to provide name, e-mail address and mobile number to receive the cost quote of the WP8 Smartphone in their inboxes.

Samsung had given India the priority for launches previously, with the Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy Note II.
